48 days until the wedding and the closer the wedding gets, the more hair I am losing. Seems when I am frustrated I tug on my hair or run my hands through it and pull and I noticed that my hair is looking pretty rough. My hair grows VERY slowly and it has been a struggle to get it this long, now I am ripping it out! I am going to be bald by the time the wedding gets here!

oh dear!!! Relax, and maybe try having something else… a watch or bracelet you can play with, twirl your ring, etc!! You want to have beautiful wedding-day hair! Also, even though my wedding is still a year away, I get regular massages. It helps me de-stress and clear my mind…. maybe something like that would be helpful too? Best of luck!!

I’d go get an intensive protein or conditioning treatment at a salon. I had one last week b/c my hair gets stressed from swimming in chlorine.
Take a good multivitamin too. And biotin! Helps the hair.

I’ve noticed over the years that I tend to have more hair fall off when I have really long hair. When I cut my hair short (around shoulder length), I only get a few strands per day falling, but when it’s really long (like, lower-back or waist-length) it tends to fall in larger quantities. It may just be that your scalp is not used to your hair being so long and heavy.
My recommendation is that you should try using a shampoo and conditioner formulated for strengthening long hair. I’ve used Garnier Fructis for a few years now and it works pretty well (I use ‘Sleek & Shine’ now, but I’ve also used ‘Length & Strength’, which is the one I’d suggest for you now). You could also try trimming the very tips of your hair, like half an inch or so, to get rid of split ends which can cause more breakage if they creep up the strands.

I recommend a daily multivitamin & yoga 🙂 Relax! A wedding is nothing to lose your hair over – if certain things are stressing you out, see if you can delegate!

oh dear, don’t let the stress get to you! I second all the advice everyone has given. i would look into jewelry that you can play with, maybe some cheap hemp bracelts or something so you can tug away and leave your hair alone!
