Darling Husband has gotten a little carried away with his obsession for diamond rings. He has bought 5 in the past month FIVE! Dont get me wrong I love a diamond as much as the next person but this is the guy that rolls his eyes everytime I mention anything sparkly. My engagement ring is modest, it didnt cost much, we didnt have a lot of money but ilove it. He always talked about upgrading it someday and this ring buying obsession is part of his plan. I kind of blame myself. I bought a ring on ebay last year which I later sold on and made some money on it. Darling Husband is buying rings to sell on for a profit and use the money to upgrade my ring. The biggest problem is that he has no clue. No clue about what he should be looking for in a diamond ring. He has been asking me questions on rings he has already paid for. I cringe everytime I look at his ebay purchase history. Today A courier knocked on the door with 2 packages. Dh called and told me I could open them so I did. He gave me his story about how he paid £800 for two rings which have been appraised at £3000 each. Darling Husband is a clever guy but if he seriously thinks a retailer is going to sell a ring worth £3000 for £400 hes a fool. These are very pretty rings but after a quick search online I have found them to be clarity enhanced. Im worried Darling Husband is going to lose money instead of make money but he is convinced his plan will work. Another irritating factor is that I would quite happily wear one of these two newest rings as my “upgraded” ring. The diamond although clarity enhanced is 1ct. My e ring is .25ct. I wanted to change from 18k white gold to either 14k or 9k and these are both solid 14k. They sparkle so much more than my diamond but Darling Husband wants to sell them.
