I purposely forgot to buy a special cake cutting set, thinking that was a stupid thing to spend money on since the venue could likely provide it.  Yeah, apparently not.  We ended up having to cut our cake with a bread knife.

Just something to look into.

Vases to put your flowers in on your head table (if florist doesn’t provide them).

CD with first dance songs, etc. for DJ.

Flat shoes, if you’re wearing heels.

That’s all I can think of right now..

emergency kit:

shout pen

hair pins

safety pins

nail glue

etc.

Also, if you do not have a day coordinator, who is running the show? The mc- if so, is everything perfectly spelled out for him. Who cues everyone to come out and is the go between to ready the bridal party and cue the dj etc.

I am a florist and would pick up day coordination jobs all the time, because it seemed to be the most forgotten part of the wedding and the ceremony. Think J-lo on her head set–you need someone running the show.  Who gathers everyone for the photographers, makes the kids with race cars on the dance floor find their parents, lets the dj know that the music is too loud or needs to be changed up.

What could be forgotten really depends on what kind of reception  you are having(formal, informal, location etc)
