I would definitely live somewhere in the Midwest: I live in Michigan now and I really enjoy the Midwest for its landscape, seasons, and many down-to-earth, hardworking, kind people. I’m moving to Ohio next year most likely for grad school, and I honestly really love Ohio (even though others might say that’s a strange place to love!): there’s quite a few cities (Toledo, Cincinatti, etc.) but it’s completely possible to have a farm half an hour from a city–I love that Midwest juxtaposition.

@RapunzelRapunzel:  I love the Midwest too! I went to visit my brother in AZ a few years ago— the way people just “are” is weird to me out there…. couldn’t wait to get back home!!!! (No offense, it’s just a different way of life IMO)

I’ve also always wished I were a Southern Girl, lol.  Darling Husband went to grad school in Alabama– I’ve been down there with him once- I love it and would move if it weren’t for family being here.  We are going down this fall for a Bama football game- we’re psyched.  It was one of “my” bday gifts lol….   But I like how it is in the South, people are so kind, good values, etc— but a million times closer to beaches than here in IN!

Ahhhh this question is RULING my life right now!  My Fiance and I live in LA right now because he’s going to medical school at UCLA (and I’m in grad school at UCLA as well).  We both graduate this coming Spring and we’re trying to decide where to have him to residency.  Part of us really love living in LA, the weather is AMAZING like 95% of the time, his family who we both love spending time with lives here, I LOVE my job as a teacher here… However, we both really want to live in New York City or San Francisco.  We talk literally daily about the pros and cons of moving and living somewhere else, and whether we would want to return to LA to start a family.  Lately, we’ve both been leaning toward living in New York, but the move across country after we’ve settled down here is hard!  AHHH I don’t know!!!!

I’d live where I live now, except i’d make a quarter million dollars a year more so that we could afford a bigger place in a desireable area!

Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City, Boise.

Then maybe when we retire – something in Sonoma, or on the coast of Northern California.

@Carolyn72:  Arizona seems to be listed four times.  Sweet!
