We’re moving into our first home soon! And it’s a total blank canvas no paint on the walls only basic flooring no window treatments just bear walls and some amazing French doors
So it’s time to get some inspiration on what colors to do the living/lounge room!! Keeping in mind the living room is the open living space that’s joint to dining and kitchen.
Can anyone share their lounge/living room to give me ideas?

Start by looking in your closet. Do you see lots of neon bright colors? Jewel tomes? Pastels? Browns? Black and white? Whatever you see is what you actually like, not what shelter mags and design blogs tell you that you should like. Then go to houzz.com and search for living rooms in those colors. add them to your design book. Just go for what you like. Don’t analyze at this point in time. Go for gut feelings. Once you’ve saved a lot of images to your design book, go back an analyze the specifics of each image. What draws you to them. Write down what you like about each one, then look back and pick out the common themes. And now you’ll have a color scheme and design elements that appeal to you. Good luck!

I don’t have any pictures of our living area, and it certainly isn’t done up nicely (we rent), but pinterest has a ton of pictures for inspiration.

@memorialbride13: do you find that Pinterest can be a little unrealistic at times tho?
@lovekiss: I would love to do that but I love vibrant colors hubby not so much lol so trying to find some inspiration even with small injections of color to show him and hopefully we agree on one 🙂
