Has anyone worn or used Liz Fields style 360 ??
I’m looking for advice about wearability and alterations?! I am a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding and this is the dress she would like us to order. Of course, I live 3 hours from any dress shop that carries this so I cannot try it on. I’m also generally a plus size in formal wear with large boobs. I had a size 20 dress for my own wedding and a size 18 for a previous Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. If the waist is fitted I often have to take it in about one size since my bust is larger than my waist measurement on size charts.
The bridal shop lady I talked to about this dress actually just told me its a deeper cut than your normal sweetheart and that she hasn’t seen it on plus sized girls?! She then reassured me her team could alter it but none of the BM’s live near the shop (12+ hours away) so we’re all supposed to have the dresses altered on our own.
The details in the bodice and the fabric (chiffon) make me worried this is a tricky alteration to begin with. Plus according to the size chart for this designer I’m between a 22-24. I tried on my size 18 Bridesmaid or Best Man dress from another designer and it was still fine so I know I haven’t gained weight. I realize designers size differently but I measure an 18 in the waist and hips of this designer! Feels like a lot to take in and sized weirdly!
I’ve found the dress at two shops (3 hours away) but the sample size is a 12 so I’m not sure going to see it in person will really help me figure out if I’m going to fit in this dress. I feel like the model has a lot of cleavage in this dress and she’s tiny!!!
Two other Bridesmaid or Best Man (out of 6) are plus sizes like me, one with a larger bust too and not in places that carry the dress to try on either so no help there.
I think the dress is beautiful but I’m totally scared we’ll all be showing WAY more than the bride intends. If this is the dress she’s set on, I’ll do everything I can to make it work. But, I’d also like to voice my concern that it will be more revealing than she intends. I’ve scoured the internet for real pictures or reviews of this dress hoping it would help me figure out if my concerns are warranted and I’ve got nothing. I don’t want to say anything to the bride to be without seeing it on someone!
The only real picture I’ve seen is the sample pinned back on the tall, slim bride to be and it pretty much looks like it does on the designers picture. I am desperate to hear how it fit someone under 5’7″ or over a street size 4… HELP ME BEES!
