Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of me in the dresses (yet) because the salon wouldn’t let me take pictures.
I love two dresses:
Liz Fields 9111:
(absolutely gorgeous buttons/back, adore the sweetheart neckline and rouching)
And the super beautiful Karena Royale (I’ve always wanted a lace dress, but wanted a sweetheart neckline and would remove the belt, get it in ivory instead. I’m worried about the chafing underarm issue too)
I’ve been trying to find real pictures of the Liz Field 9111 to look at but apparently I’m going to be the first bride in the history of the internet to maybe wear it?…..I can’t find it anywhere! Has anyone worn it?!
About me: 5’9, size 12/14, going for a vintage look for the wedding.
I’ll try to get stealth pictures next time that I go. 🙂

I think both dresses are beautiful, but I picked the second one based on the vintage feel you’re going for.

i picked the second one bc uve always wanted lace – as for sweetheart, it looks like a modified sweetheart and most places can make a dress sweetheart if its not already! plus i think lace matches your vintage feel better.

The first one is so pretty!! The second one just looks like every other lace wedding dress I’ve seen recently- boring!

If a lace dress is what you’ve always wanted, go for it. Dont’ buy something on impulse because it’s flashy!
I always wanted a lace dress, but then I told myself that it was too old fashioned and I wanted something more show-stopping. Then I got major dress regret and now I’m paying a fortune to alter the dress so it can include a beautifully expensive lace bolero. 😛

I have to say, Karena is VERY flattering on, and I’ve seen it on several body types (including my own) and it seems to look great on everyone. That being said, I didn’t choose it because I really wanted something not strapless and I wasn’t a fan of how the sash doesn’t go all the way around. That could easily be fixed by not having the sash built in and use a different one.

I picked Liz because the Karena Royale is very popular and just like you said you would be one of the few to wear the Liz dress. Plus Liz is beautiful on its own, im a sucker for button backs and to boot yours goes all the way down the train its gorgeous!

Thanks so much, ladies. It’s so hard!!
@LauraRose – totally agree! I loveee the buttons and when they bustle it, you can still see them!
The good thing is that my mom and sister (MOH) haven’t seen either of them on me yet (I went with my FI’s mom and step-mom on two different days and found the two dresses) so I feel like their opinions will seal the deal. My Mother-In-Law totally cried when I came out in the Liz Fields and my S-MIL didn’t cry in the Karena, but she’s not really much of a crier anyway. Plus, it will give me an excuse to go back and try them on again!

I don’t think you could go wrong with either dress! I am wearing the Karena Royale (in 2 days-YIKES!!), so I’m a little partial to it, but I definitely love the top and the buttons down the back of the Liz dress. One thing I will say though is that I definitely did not want a corset back dress originally and I am so happy I have one now because it really sucks you in! I also bought a new sash ($5) that will go all the way around the dress.

@celticbride: Oooo, have fun and good luck this weekend!!! So exciting 🙂 I thought the same thing but really liked the corset too!

I vote Royale, just because I hate material of the other.

It’s really hard to choose because like you said; they’re both beautiful!!!!
I think I could really only decide it if I saw it on you :/ bc at the end of the day is how it suits you and how you feel wearing it…
but given they’re both stunning, you can’t go wrong with either 🙂
