I have to say I’m not that surprised that a Southener would come up with a ghost explanation instead of an earthquake. Seems more keeping in character. I love it. lol

And yeah, you wouldn’t have felt it if your car was moving.  Lucky you.

Haha, that’s hilarious! Funny thing is – when I saw about the earthquake, I wondered if an earthquake could have played a part in some of those ghost stories!

I still need to go back and read the old thread linked in the old thread (that’s not confusing) and read those stories!

@Pinksapphire:rememeber if you have a high EMF field in your home it can cause you to think its ghosts. The worst is when your sitting with your back to the next room and the cats infront of you looking behind you start freaking out and snarling with their fur standing. I didnt know what to do

@PutABirdOnIt: its not that it’s ‘keeping in character’ its just we dont normally have earthquakes in the south… most people dont even think of them as a possibility… it’s not like were all sitting around thinking everything is haunted and there’s no other explaination for natural occurences..

@Pinksapphire: Oh that was creepy! Darling Husband doesn’t believe in ghosts but we agreed that the idea of it being a creepy mountain stalker man is just as bad!

Either ghost or man it’s still very much a ‘look what I could have done to you’ thing vs. being scared witless in a room that drawers are flying open and crap. As scary as that is, at least you are aware of it and could run away!

sorry.. just kind of irritates me when people think southerners aren’t capable of rational thoughts… btw NC has one of the highest rates of doctorate degrees for their popuation…

@kiparker:  I don’t think she meant that as an insult.  In my experience, it does seem like Southerners are more open to ghost stories and that just adds to the charm of the South!

P.S.  I’m not originally from the South, but I do get really defensive when I feel like people act like people from the South are dumb.
