Bees! I’m locked out of home. We played lets take the car to the mechanic, with me catching a bus home only to realize Fiance has my keys!
of course it’s the night he’s working late, but he should have been home by now & only just responded to a txt saying that he’ll be another hr. ggr
its cold. It’s dark. I’m angry at myself for not thinking to take one set of keys with me & I’m angry at him because …. Well just because !!

@Nic01: Oh no! If this had of happened last week, at least it would have still been light outside! Poor thing. 🙁

Ugh that’s happened to me a couple times. Once when I still lived at home with my mother while she was out of town, luckily one of the windows was unlocked so I was able to pop out the screen and climb in. The other time it was in mine and FI’s old apartment when I went out to lunch with a friend and left my key at home. I ended up just walking down the block to a pizza place and having a couple beers while I waited for him to come home. Hopefully your Fiance comes home soon!

We have an extra key hidden in our garden!

Hey Nic. How frustrating! We had the same problem a few months ago where I had to climb up a ridiculous mountain of outdoor furniture we constructed to get to a window and push up against the veranda ceiling to climb over and around the window grill. We were locked out together with no other option unless we wanted to change our locks.
Hope the hour goes quickly for you and you can find somewhere to hide a spare key! I’m paranoid about it and pat my key in my pocket everytime I leave the house. That sounds a bit crazy. Hmmm… 🙂

Oh no! I hope he hurries and gets home for you (or you’re already in)!
I’d be breaking in my own house! Haha.. I laugh but I’ve done that before! I always say I’m going to hide a key but I’m too paranoid! I just complusively check that I have them.

Oh man do you have a place to visit for few min or a neighbor you can go to? Just until he gets home..have you checked all the windows if there unlock i would be…trying every single one just in case.

So they say everythig happens for a reason… not long after i posted this my phone died. Great, i know.
I sat outside for 1.5hrs. Until about 7pm. I heard the neighbours so I swallowed my pride & knocked on the door as i felt a bit weird sitting in the dark. We are friendly with the nieghbours, but never this friendly. Anyway she was lovely (& i was fuming) but she started asking about the wedding, one thing led to another & next thing she offered me her vintage suitcases for the day – something we were considering spending money on to hire. Score!
That made me a little chirpier, lucky for Fiance who came about 20 mins later. And made dinner without any complaints.
It’s all worked out, I’m sitting on the bee, he’s watching the footy show. 🙂

I always carry the keys for both DH’s and my cars. They’re on separate keychains, and each keychain has the keys to the front and garage doors. It ensures that I can always get into either car and the house.

Darling Husband and I locked ourselves out a few months back and the next day, we went and got one of those key lockboxes from Lowes and attached it to the underside of our deck stairs. That way we always have access to a key (just in case) but it isn’t just underneath a potted plant or something where anyone could find it and get in.
