I have been thinking about this as a gift to my BM’s too. I would definitely need to see a few lockets in person so I could figure out dimensions right. Lockets are timeless in my opinion.

I think they are pretty but I wear one necklace and never change it. I wouldn’t use it.

I think they’re beautiful. The downside to lockets is going to get a photo resized to fit. Would you be able to personalize them with a photo already inside, or a little quote of some sorts? That might make them more meaningful.

I like a few of those and would wear them (though I would question the locket part a little, like, “Does the bride expect me to wear a picture of HER all the time in this?”) for sure.

But I don’t know that they’d be most of my girlfriends’ taste. They aren’t exactly a super popular style at the moment.

Only you know your bridesmaids, though, and what they like best.

@wisher558:  I think brides get caught up in thinking we need to get our girls something super meaningful and something that will last so they can always remember us. The truth is that our wedding isn’t all that important to them. Not trying to be harsh but seriously, they are there to support you. They don’t need some crazy meaninful gift. Get them something they can use and enjoy. I got my girls pashminas and a candle.
