I am not getting married at the Loew’s but my fiance and I did look at it when we were searching for venues.  It is a beautiful hotel and they offer really great little touches to make your wedding unique.  In the end though, we wanted a more unique space than a hotel ballroom- but it is a pretty space!

@devybug:Where did you end up choosing? I’d love to know.

@sarindipity: I am going to look at the Loews hotel in the next couple weeks. We’ll see how it goes.

We ended up booking the Atrium at the Curtis Center (it is the same people that do Cescaphe ballroom).  I did really like the Loew’s but for the same price at the Atrium we got so much more included.  As with most hotels, Loew’s offers a very basic package which you can add on to with a lot of extras (i.e. tableside wine service, sushi station, pasta station, etc.) which is great but those quickly add up when you want a lot of those extras.

@sarindipity: Thanks for the review!  We’re getting married at the Loews Hotel in December and will be doing the exact same things.  Would you mind sharing some pointers on what I should make clear with the hotel?

@sarindipity: Thank you so, so much for your response.  I’m still very much in love with the hotel and still very, very excited.  But as you know, I’m going crazy over things to stress about.  I actually had my tasting today and went over alot of your concerns and came up with some really great solutions.  I’ll definitely follow-up with alot of our questions as they come up.  Thanks again!

@sarindipity: thanks for your feedback! i have left numerous messages over the last few months with loews and not one person has responded to me!  i most definately am not interested in using them anymore particularly at the poor service so far.  *sigh*

@deebs: That’s terrible. At least you have found out now that they hae poor service as opposed to realizing it on your wedding day.

@sarindipity:This is exactly why I love sights like this. Most of the weddings I have been to have outside of the Philadelphia area so it can be hard to get info/feedback on local vendors.  Thank you for the detailed information. It will definitely make the decision easier for me and I am sure for other brides who may stumble upon this thread.
