- Wedding: July 2012
First off, I’m getting MARRIED in 39 DAYS!!!!!!!
Fiance and I were talking about logistics the other night and neither of us really thought about the whole walking down the aisle and how this would work with our location. So I’m hoping some of you had a similar wedding or have suggestions on how to execute.
Location: In a big open field. Our guests will be sitting on blankets. There will be no decorations or arch. Just a big open field overlooking the ocean.
There will be only about 20 guests total.
The location we chose is a short walk down a hill off of a main trail. Less than a minute to get there from the main trail, but the trail is lined with bushes so our location is out of site from passing people. The hill to get down is a little dirt path, not too steep, but nothing I would dare walk down in heels.
Fiance and I are getting some pictures done before the guests arrive. Our officiant is going to wait until all guests arrive and then they will walk to the location together – only because it’s a GIANT park. So once all the guests are seated, we will start the ceremony.
But since we have no aisle and our bridal party consists of our son and daughter, I’m not sure how to do this. Should we all walk down together? Should Fi walk down first and then have my son and daughter walk down together? That worries me because of the small hill and my kids are clumsy like me. Any suggestions??
