That’s awesome!! Haha, it’s so great when the SOs want to get involved in the wedding planning, and it sounds like he’s got some awesome ideas! I love the idea of the groomsmen dressed as secret service men – are they gonna be doing commando rolls down the aisle? Wink

@HelleCat:  That sounds awesome!! As long as the ring bearer is up for having however many grown men chasing him – poor little thing!

Sounds like it’ll be heaps of fun, and really unique – it should be really exciting.

I think your weddding will be a “cool” one! I like “his” ideas so the wedding is both of your tastes and not just all about the bride! Love the secret service groomsmen with earpiece…

If that is what best represents you and your Fiance, I think the reception ideas are great. Honestly I don’t love, all the ceremony theatrics. The ceremony (in my mind) should be more serious and focus on the fact that you are pledging your lives to each other. A silly skit, while it might be funny, would take something away from the seriousness of the vows in my opinion.

Oncs it is reception time though, have all the silly fun you want!

@HelleCat:  I want a bouncy castle so much, but my sister has been planning on getting married in one (or a carousel) for, like, 10 years, so I’d better not steal it. Sigh. Fiance and I are planning on either Mario-themed cake toppers, or Futurama…I wanted Dr. Who, but there’s not many female love interests. Plus most of fiance’s family probably wouldn’t recognise it anyway…damn the traditionalists!

@HelleCat:  Dammit, I wish I’d know about the generator! I was just saying the other day that we should have done MTG card save the dates!

This sounds like a fun wedding–I want to come! I love pizza and bouncy castles! Drunk bouncing!

Since I am having a small wedding (25-30ish guests) maybe we should go WILD! My SO is very “colorful” and maybe we could make up a wedding so it’ll be totally “us” and be out of the normal range for what people call a wedding! But, sigh, most of my guests will be elderly… don’t know if they would “appreciate” it if I went out of “normal”…

Ah, another thought, what if I had (already planned anyways) a morning ceremony, a lunch buffet, and then we (My SO and I) can do what we want for the rest of the day? mmmm that’s sounds like an idea brewing in my head…
