I’m in the middle of the process of choosing a photographer…but there are so many choices, and I’d love to go with someone that a fellow bee is happy with!
If you’re using a wedding photographer in London, can you please share with me who it is?
Thanks so much!

@SupermarketGirl As a photographer, I understand about the range of choices you have when choosing a wedding photographer, especially as this person is going to capture the first day of your lives together.
Definitely look for recommendations but make sure you meet with the photographer. When you meet them, how do they make you feel? Do you see yourself liking this person? On the most stressful day of your life – before the fun starts! – will being with this person add to that stress?
Personality should also play into your decision just as much as recommendation and price. You’re going to spend the whole day with this person following you around, and taking photos and possibly asking you to pose too. If you cannot relax with your photographer it will show in the pictures they take.
Also know what style of photography you want. Do you want someone who will just document your day as it happens, someone who takes the formal shots and poses you for couple shots, or a combination of the two?
Also, how do you want your images displayed after the wedding? Album, wall art , parent albums etc? Look at the items they offer too, so you have an idea of any additional pricing if these are not included in a package.
Good luck with your search.

I’m not London-based, but I do know a girl who’s based in London who I think does Wedding Photography:
She did a really cute wedding sample shoot a few months ago:
ETA: here’s her homepage – http://www.suziovens.com/admin/
She’s a really nice girl, I knew her through friends in high school, and she was really friendly and down-to-earth. She’s well worth checking out if you want something a bit different!
Some other people I know based near London who do photography are these guys:
Their style is pretty different, and they tend to do a range of events, and are more portrait-based, but they’re really friendly and willing to try anything! They’ve had a few website problems recently, so not sure if all their galleries are up and working right now…
