Following. I LOVE them too. But I don’t have one. Hopefully someone will post some goodies.

I use to have this 6×4 emerald cut London blue topaz. I never had it set and ended up giving it to another bee for her “something blue”. The color was amazing!

Mine is a blue diamond surrounded by smaller white diamonds. The center stone is .33 ct, but I’m not sure of the total weight. I absolutely love it! You really don’t see them around much, especially in person (:

Oooh I adore London blue topaz, if DH wasn’t such a hardcore stubborn ‘engagement rings are diamonds’ throwback guy I would have pushed for one. So beautiful. I think there will be a RHR in my future.

I think both stones are beautiful! I guess I’m not sure of the durability of topaz over a lifetime, but I know diamonds are supposed to tast “forever” basically. So I would probably look into that before choosing, but you really can’t go wrong with either stone.

Squirrelz15:  my mom has had a topaz ring since 1979 that has held up to the test of time and kicked times butt! It’s all in taking care of the stone.

 Really it comes down

I love them both! For an ering, I’d be tempted to go with a diamond because they are harder than topaz. Here is iDesigner’s blue diamond ring that I am in love with. Hopefully she doesn’t mind me poting it here!

sumshine.dawn:  I also love diamonds and other white stones, which is why I had no problem with letting him pick whatever. He listened when I said no round stones and that was the biggest one for me. The only thing that would have resulted in a ‘no’ from me was if he proposed at a sporting event.
