waterlilly15:  I feel for you and I wish I had helpful advice. I also have long cycles and what’s even more frustrating, before we started TTC I was NOT on BC and had perfect 28-day cycles. The month after we started TTC I had a weirdly long cycle, followed by another, etc. and now my cycles range between 40 and 50 days. No clue what’s going on and I’m fairly convinced it’s the effect of stress, so I honestly try hard not to worry about it.

If you’ve just come off BC in the last few months, your body is likely still working itself out. Fingers crossed everything is back to “normal” soon!

Can you upload tour charts? I always find that helpful

It definitely looks like you ovulated I agree with Ff. I would bet that if your temps continue to trend down then AF is on her way. Id test again in a couple of days! Good job on temping with shift work, your chart looks really good! Since you did ovulate I don’t think you’ll have a 40 day cycle.

I have had 35ish day cycles since I stopped the pill in December. I remember dealing with the same thing when I came off the pill to TTC our daughter (and we got lucky the second cycle, it’s taking longer this time!). It sucks to have a whole extra week to wait!!

waterlilly15:  I know this isn’t really advice but just some encouragement.. I too have long cycles, but Darling Husband and I got our BFP last may after four cycles over 6 months and had a gorgeous healthy boy just over 2 months ago!  For the cycle we concieved I O’d on cd34! So there is hope, I know it’s hard to not get discouraged but hang in there and keep trying!

I have no advice, only shared pain. I average 56 days. Mpre than once it was like 70 or 80. But since I am young it took 3 years to get anywhere with a doc and get diagnosed with PCOS.  Now we have fertility drugs but I have to wait for a cycle, which of course decided to be ridiculous and long this month. All I can do is remember, it will all be worth it!

I don’t have any advice either since SO and I are not TTC yet, but I have 45 day cycles and I know that conceiving will be a little trickier! Keep at it though, it’ll be so worth it in the end. 🙂

When I stopped my BCP I had a normal cycle…then some 30ish day cycles, then a 45 day cycle, then have been normal since then….except for right around my wedding.  Not sure if it was the oral surgery or the stress from surgery but I ovulated late.  I stopped my pills almost 3 years ago.  So just give it time.  From my experience alone it took about 6 months to be consistently “regular.”  That said, anywhere up to 30ish days is considered regular.  Not everyone is a textbook 28 days.
