I’m all about the Biotin supplements! It definitely took a while… probably a whole Costco bottle before I really started to see a difference, but it’s finally paying off! My stylist of five years even noticed my new growth and asked about it! Highly recommend. 😀

@exoticchic:  No, I only cut my hair when I’m changing the style.  Except I did get a trim 1 week before the wedding to clean up the ends.

I’ve started using a hair care line called Live Clean. Their shampoos are usually around 95-98% organic and while I wasn’t one who reads labels like that, I gave the shampoo a try and holy crap after two months I’ve noticed such a big difference! I also feel like my hair is growing faster as well.

I am going to brag for a moment. Please skip if you don’t want to read it.

I have gorgeous long hair (down to my butt). Ok, my point to that was I know what works for me.

I take biotin daily. It is expensive but totally worth it. I have not noticed any skin issues, and tbt, didn’t even know that was a side effect until just now. I wash my hair every other day and let it air dry. I never use a brush, only a comb.

When I do style my hair (most weekends), I blow dry and straighten or curl without heat protectant. Gasp! I love my shampoo and conditioner and credit that with the appearance of my hair.

I don’t put much credence into regular cuts. Yes, it does snip off the split ends, but it does not help the hair grow faster.

@exoticchic:  I want long hair too, but I only have 6 months.  BUT I went to my last hair appointment and the hair dresser took quite a bit off as she said it needed it due to breakage and it was uneven!  Now I need to really pray it gets long again… in 6 months!!!  I’m going to follow this thread for tips 🙂

@exoticchic:  I gave cocnut oil a try, which was a big deal because I hate the smell of cocnuts.  However it works amazingly well!  Bonus side is that it’s pretty cheap!  I’m totally sold on in… which reminds me it’s about time to do it again!

@exoticchic:  I have hair down to the middle of my back, it’s maybe like 1.5 inches past the exact middle; I use moroccan oil everyday, I only blow dry/straighten when I need to, I use garnier fructice “clean” shampoo. I brush my hair everynight and use garnier fructice leave in conditioner spray after my shower vs. Regular conditioner. My hair was shoulder length last year and has grown 10+ inches In a year and that’s all that I did. Oh, I only wash my hair 3-4 times a week, but I shower everyday.

@exoticchic:  Nope! I have combination skin and used to break out when I was younger. I still get a few zits here and there from time to time, but I haven’t noticed any changes since starting the supplements. FWIW – I’m also on the pill, which can help with break outs.

I have noticed fantastic results with my nails! Mine used to be brittle and break often, and now they’re super strong and healthy! 🙂

I use Agadir Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. It lasts me a while. I’ve noticed a significant difference in how my hair feels and bounces and just IS vs. any other kind of shampoo (even similar paraben free types). After I wash, I use the little oil packet it comes with and run a little bit through my wet hair. I also use a Macademia Oil Deep Repair Mask about once to twice a week. It’s a little pricey but lasts a long time. I don’t need that much, even with my really long hair, almost down to my butt. People have asked if I used extensions because my hair looks so full and healthy.

I used to take Biotin and then realized that my breakouts were probably caused by that. Nothing extreme whatsoever, but enough to make me want to stop. I think it definitely helped with my nails, can’t say for sure about my hair though.

My hair is short now but its often pretty long. I wash it every second day with Herbal Essences Body Envy shampoo and conditioner, but I don’t rinse the conditioner completely out. I never use heat on it, mostly because I have a lot of hair and it takes too long. I also only get it cut about once every 6 onths, when I decide that its gotten longer than I want it to be. It almost never gets split ends, and is always incredibly healthy.

@FleeSircus:  I’ve got to ask. What the heck makes that brush worth it? Does it braid your hair and whistle tunes to you, like the birds in Cinderella? I’ve seriously got to know. My initial reaction is “WTF” but I will spend on some weird things if it’s worth it…
