@JMJ102411:  I would go with your gut on that one! I’ve never heard of either LOL! But I’m sure you can ask the florist to give you pictures of things she/he has done before!

@JMJ102411:  I met with a consultant at Flowers by Brian and was really disappointed.  I may have expected too much but I was confused by the fact that the consultant had a large tv screen mounted on her wall that was off and rather than show my fiance and I samples of their work on a large screen she showed us on an ipad and had very few creative suggestions to offer.  I was also EXTREMELY disappointed by their showroom.  The space was cramped and there was very little variety with respect to the centerpiece styles.

In the end I booked a different florist that got my vision and was willing to work with me. The consultant I spoke with was able to show me pictures of floral arrangements that they created at the venue that I booked.  The showroom was bigger and offered more variety.  The consultant was able to sketch designs and bring out flowers to show me the options available to me.  All in all my experience was much better and I felt more confident in my choice.

I think it’s important to go with your gut and select vendors that you feel comfortable working with and who get your vision.  Good Luck! Smile

@JMJ102411:  I used Flowers by Brian, loved them and they were reasonable.

Here are some pics (only screen caps of the pro pics, I don’t have my electronic copies yet).

I should add that I wanted rainbow roses, they tried and couldn’t get them.  So they went and made what they “thought” I wanted as a backup…it was pretty bad. The good news is that I kept my appt the day before to “approve” the bouquets and when I got upset at what the replacement flowers were, they immediately fixed the issue and I couldn’t have loved the end result more.

Plus the flowers lasted over a month!  Bouquets were big too.

Oh, and I mainly chose them because they were a preferred vendor with my venue (The Swan Club), and I was trying to use as many preferred vendors as possible because I knew they were trustworthy.

They made corsages for some family, and the bouts for the guys–which I gave them special nautical rope to put behind the flowers, so they went above and beyond to accommodate me which I appreciated.

I went to the flower petaler as well but also went to bella flowers in Huntington.  You should check them out Christina was really wonderful and saw my vision.  She was also willing to work with my budget and didn’t charge for delivery etc.. and I’m getting married in Wading River..

I would also check Hidden Essence. You can find them on facebook. I think that they do a really good job. If you want any of her info, message me.
