(Closed) Long time "best friend" no longer maid of honor?

@Judyja12:  It must hurt coming from a long time friend. She seems to not be on the same page as you, which is sad. One of my friends, who I considered “one of my best” friends didn’t show up at my wedding. I got upset with her and had spoken much less to her. It hurts so much. Anyways, back to you and your friend, have you explained her the way you feel? Let her know your time is valuable and hers as well. Ask her when is she available, try to work around her schedule and just let her know that if she can’t commit, you will have to look for someone else. I would not end the friendship for something like this, just have a good long talk with her, and see where things go from there. She might not be as interested in being your maid of honor now with so many responsabilities which sucks, but it is better to clarify things sooner than later.
