    I can’t pick one or the other, so I didn’t vote, but maybe take your BM’s (at least some of them) dress shopping so you can see what you like. I could honestly see either length working!

    No bridesmaid dress will ever overshadow the Bride’s gown, in my opinion. I love both of those dresses. Also, time of wedding might dictate the guests’ clothing more nowadays. I think you should just go with what you prefer personally, and not worry about being overshadowed.

    My wedding was an afternoon wedding in June. I wore a trumphet style dress and decided on a long dress for my Maid/Matron of Honor (I didn’t have bridesmaids) – and the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress was a similiar style as your first choice. I don’t think you’d be overshadowed either way.
