It took me 2.5 years, but I am the exception not the rule. I had a manager in her late 30s who came off the pill and was pregnant 4 weeks later.

I think it is worth coming off a bit early to see what your cycles are like, but there is no need to .

I was on the pill for 10+ years. I stopped taking it after our wedding in August, and I got a BFP in November (3 cycles after stopping).

Commenting to follow…

I just stopped HBC this Sunday, on my withdrawal bleed now.

We won’t be TTC until May but I’ve been on it for 12 years so I’m giving myself a good six months to regulate. We’ll see!

I haven’t started TTC but I went off the pill after 15 years in March and didn’t get a period until October. I have a friend who didn’t get hers for over a year, and another who got pregnant almost right away. It really depends on the individual but I would go off sooner rather than later and use alternative methds of BC.

I was on the pill for 11 years and got pregnant my first cycle off (with twins, no less!). It’s different for everyone but don’t underestimate your body’s ability to bounce right back 😊

When I went off the pill my cycle was regular immediately and stayed that way.  Ultimately we needed IVF to conceive for reasons unrelated to the pill.

I came off it last July and got a BFP in Nov, our second cycle trying (and my fourth cycle off BC). Unfortunately I miscarried, but got pregnant again three cycles later and just gave birth to a healthy baby a couple weeks ago.

I recommend coming off the pill a few months before TTC. I do think my cycles were wonky those first few months off the pill.

I came off the pill in August and got my bfp the first week of September. I’d been on the pill for 18 years and thought it would take a while for my cycle to return to normal. The positive test was a bit of a shock, even though we were trying!

I was on the pill for 20+ years. With all three pregnancies I went off had one cycle and was pregnant by the next. So, while it might take a while, make sure your ready! 😄. Good luck!

Not trying to get pregnant quite yet, but I was on the pill for about 12 years until September 22 of this year. My first cycle was about 55 days; hoping to normalize more from here on out.
