I’m 27 and I’ve been on birth control pills since I was 13. I stopped taking BC pills in September due to unpleasant side effects and I was accidently pregnant in March. I’m due January 1 lol

I was on BCP for 16 years and I got (surprise) pregnant as soon as I went off of them- probably O’d about 2 weeks after I quit them?  It can be common to need 2-3 cycles to regulate but not always the case.  But still, don’t be surprised if it takes some time to regulate either.

I was on bcp for….20 years? Stopped bcp in January of a year. Avoided getting pregnant by the pullout method until July of that year. Tried each month until I got pregnant in November of that year.

Just my anecdata, but I went off the pill at the end of September (last date of hormones was Sept 22) and things are still not regular. I’ve had a 51 day cycle and a 42 day cycle. I have had absolutely zero negative side effects since going off the Pill with the notable exception of breaking out on my chin during the luteal phase. I started temping and using FF and it’s been helpful, so I definitely recommend that. We won’t be actively TTC until March 2019 but it’s nice to have a sense of what’s going on.

I was on the pill for 5 or 6 years and went off them at the end of this September. My first cycle was 42 days and since then has been my normal 24 cycle days length (my period was very regular before the pill). I was surprised about that 42 day one though.

blushingbee2019 :  You should speak with your doctor. I went and saw mine months before I wanted to begin trying. My doctor said to be off the pill for 3 months then try. We used condoms during the three months as I wanted to make sure I understood my cycle and because I didn’t want to start trying until a certain time. Our first month actually trying (3 months after coming off the pill) we got pregnant. I had previously been on the pill Allesse for 11 years. I am now 5 months along and it is a baby girl!
