Has anyone on here had their wedding / toured the Longwood Community Center before? What did you like / not like about it? It wouldn’t be my absolute first choice, but the price is right and I can do my own food and alcohol, which is especially important as I’m trying to keep the venue/food costs under $5000 total.
Also, if you did use it, did you have your ceremony there, or somewhere else? I’m not crazy about having the ceremony indoors, but it sounds like there isn’t a place right outside the center to have it either.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I know this response is late. I am getting married at the longwood community center next march. It was by far my favorite venue and you cannot beat the price. We have the center for the entire day and its still 1/3 the cost of other places plus you can pick any vendor you want. The upstairs bridal sweet is amazing. I wish they had a little bit more room outdoor as finding the exect ceremony location is a bit of a jigsaw but I think it will be great! Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for your reply, rosenbergsarah. After my grandmother got involved in looking at venues with me, she absolutely fell in love with Lake Mary Events Center. After I told her I couldn’t afford it, she offered to pay for it (we’d been seriously considering the Winter Park Farmer’s Market at the time…I guess she REALLY wasn’t into it being there, lol). LMEC had always been one of my favorites, plus my fiance grew up right down the street, so we ended up going with them.
I appreciate your input! Hopefully it will help some other bees in the future. 🙂

@rosenbergsarahh: I would love to hear about how your reception went! I’m considering LWCC for my reception in April 2014.
