@happilyeveraftergirl:  I like the size shown. Plus won’t a cushion cut diamond face up slightly smaller than a round?

So the 2 may be perfect?

In terms of style and size, it is all completely subjective, so whatever you like best is what you should do.

All other things being equal (color, clarity, cut same on both stones) the difference in cost between 1.8 and 2.0 will be significant. So, if that’s of any concern, the 1.8 will save a lot of money.

@happilyeveraftergirl: Yes, @LovesBeingAMrs is right. You will find that most cushions will face up smaller than rounds. 2CT might be perfect! You definitely do get a lot of finger coverage there! What size are you?

The bigger the better 🙂

You must have mighty small hands if that is a 2ct! Not that a 2ct is small, but I have a 3ct OEC moissy & it appears smaller on my size 6 fingers than this 2ct looks on you!

It looks enormous to me! Maybe a tad smaller would be more proportionate.

I think it looks great but it is big! A cushion will face up smaller though. Are you concerned at all with believability/passing it as diamond?

You have such lovely, thin fingers. It looks like the stone is a bit big to me. I would go slightly smaller. A cushion does face up a bit smaller though. Try using this chart – you can print it out, cut out the different stones and place them on your finger. It will give you a great idea of what it will look like.

It;s all a matter of style and personal choice. It looks like it might get in the way a lot at that size if you are active and/or do things with your hands, but it is a very pretty cut. Trust your gut!

@happilyeveraftergirl: well if that’s not a concern for you and you like the look of 2 carats, go for it! I don’t think you will notice that much difference in 1.8 and 2 carats tbh.
