and now I have a migraine from it LOL and sore eyes from staring at the screen all day long!!
I thought I had a clear image of what I wanted but it keeps changing every day.
I’m normally not a girly girl and thought I wouldn’t like lace, but I’m in love with these two dresses….and am frantically emailing vendors here in New Zealand to see how much it costs. Dresses are expensive here and I have received quotes that are over $3000 and it is out of my budget unfortunately. Really don’t want to spend more than $2000.
These two are quite similar in design….but I guess the Venus one will be my back up one if I can’t get the Allure one but I really truly love the Allure one, been staring at it all day at different angles from the computer. Even tried adjusting the screen brightness to see if i can pick anything up!! LOL
OK here is the Venus VE8069
BACK OF ALLURE

They’re both beautiful. You show the back of the Venus, which has lovely detailing, especially good as, if you’re going the traditional route, you will have your back to a lot of people a lot of the time (not just the ceremony but as you mill about at the reception too) and just personally I love Venus’s waistline.
I’d say though – find some way to try them on, and your heart won’t lie! You’ll see how they fit your individual form and I think you’ll lean one way or another

I really prefer the lace of the first one, it is not as chunky looking, which I prefer. But I do prefer the waist of the second one. I voted for the first one, just because of the lace, but they may look totally different in person which would probably change my vote.

I am in NZ too – Christchurch. It is possible to get a dress from overseas, the prices here are crazy! The US has the best prices and I think both Allure and Venus are allowed to be shipped here (others like Maggie Sottero are not). When I found my dress even with shipping, taxes, etc it was still half of the cost of buying it here. If you need any advice on where/how to get one you can always message me 🙂

Just sent you a message 😉

I think the main difference is the width of the sash/belt. Do you prefer a thinner sash, or thicker sash?
The first one also looks more A-line, whereas the 2nd one hugs the hips a bit more before it flares out. I like A-line better myself, but it’s really down to what you prefer and what suits your body more.

I love two a lot better. In my opinion, I dislike corset backs. The buttons are much classier.

I like the consistency of the Allure’s lace (all the way down) and I like the back better, too.
But I have to admit that the huge, gorgeous flowers had me mesmerized.

Both dresses are beautiful. imi138 brings up a good point about the a-line vs. the flare. If you’re ordering from overseas, I suggest you at least go into the salon and try on these dresses or at least dresses with similar cuts and see how each fits your body before placing the order. I’m sure you have read over and over again how bees have seen dresses online and in magazines but when they actually tried them on they did not like how they fit them.

I love the Allure! I’m wearing an Allure dress as well with a similar back and I love it! I think the V back is so sexy and classy looking and I love the buttons all the way down the train.

I highly suggest trying them on first… you might love one in pictures but not on you in person…
I had an idea of what I wanted but tried on a whole bunch of other dresses all shapes and fabrics… Well one that I didn’t like in person, looks amazing on me in pictures, but I know I didn’t feel that way in person… So I didn’t get it… The dress that I absolutely LOVE doesn’t look as great in the pictures but I felt gorgeous in it… So definitely try them on.

I love the button detailing on the back of the Allure dess. Its beautiful.

I like the sash and button back of the Allure. But I prefer the sweetheart neckline of the Venus. The Allure is also more of a trumpet, which would depend on you figure if that’s goo on you. I say you gotta try em on! Both are beautiful, but at first sight I like the Allure better.

I really think you need to go and try them on. What I thought would look good on me when I went shopping didn’t work at all..
They are both beautiful dresses
