My husband had a 4mm silver band & it bent completely & was covered in scratches!

IDK how that one will hold up because it looks thicker & has a design that may cover the scratches plus my husband’s work is “dirty work” or aka he works with his hands alot.

As far as price, my husband’s 4mm band was 20 dollars.

Have you looked at tungsten? You can get tungsten under 50 bucks on amazon.com

Sterling silver will l=immediately warp and scratch. Pick a more durable metal.

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  I know alot of silver is priced high on etsy because they hand make it. So I figured it would be 100+. Tungsten is a really good option. Let us know what you two decide!

I had a couple sterling silver rings I wore around everyday, just going to school and such, the bottom of those bands are beat the heck up, scratched, dinged, and kind of flattened. It was pretty thick so it didn’t totally destory it to wear it every day for 5 years but for a wedding band silver just is SO soft. Though that is a gorgeous ring.

I’m seriously considering sterling silver for myself but that’s because everything I own is silver, it’s my thing, but I know it will be much much more succeptible to bending and scratching. Silver is soft so you can get some really nice detailed work but I’ve heard it’s not as durable so I depends which is more important to you I guess, very good durability or intricate design.

sterling silver is not nearly hard enough to be used for a wedding band unfortunately πŸ™ though that ring is beautiful, if it is hand made on etsy you can ask the artist if they will re-make it in gold or platinum.

I second tungsten, I gor two bands for my Darling Husband for about 80 dollars total custom engraved and live time warenty
