Awwww it’s a bummer that you’re disappointed with your reception. I’ve heard a lot of brides say that they didn’t have as much time to talk to everyone, so don’t beat yourself up too much over that one. I’d def be weirded out hearing the wrong song, but as long as it fit the moment, I don’t think your guests will know that you didn’t know the song! And I’d never have even thought to take pics with my personal camera – that’s why you hired a photog, silly πŸ˜‰

Now – go enjoy your honeymoon!! And congrats on becoming a Mrs! πŸ˜€

Aw, I’m sorry you’re disappointed πŸ™ I’m also trying my best to make everything perfect for our special day, but I’m sure something will end up bothering me. I have a friend whose mother obsessed over every detail, and even though plenty of things went wrong, my friend just said, “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be married by 3.” I think I’ll sympathize more with your situation than hers, but no matter what, you’re married! So just try to remember all the great parts about your day and future with your Mr. πŸ™‚

I think every single bride has something she wishes she could have done differently… but I guess with time you just shrug it off, no one notices the minor things anyway

I was married this Saturday too! First off, congratulations! Doesn’t it feel great to be a MRS? Secondly, I keep reminding myself that it could always be worse. Here is a thread I started yesterday to share with some of our biggest OOPS moments. Our ceremony music didn’t work at all, our backup plan (a boom box and burnt cd dug up at my parents house last minute) skipped as I was walking down the aisle. My DH’s grandma’s cell phone rang while he was saying his vows…and she answered it. However, I have been assured by my sister and niece that they had no idea there was an issue with the music, and the gma thing gives us something to talk about.

I’m sure no one noticed the random song the DJ played, your photographer got some gorgeous photos even though your veil was still on, and your guests had a great time even if they didn’t have a few minutes with you personally.

At the end of the day the important thing is you are married! Go enjoy it!! πŸ™‚

I totally understand. Even though I LOVED our wedding and wish it had lasted longer, there are some disappointments. My photographer didn’t get a shot of the back of my dress, which was incredible, and I’m REALLY bummed about that. I also wish my dress had fit just a tiny bit better at the waist.  I wish I could have spent more time with so many people there, although there’s no way I could have.

Still, overall it was truly the best night of my life so far, and I try to focus on that.

@augustsix: We are going up north. Darling Husband is afraid of flying and gets migraines from being in the car for long periods of time. Poor guy. He is super excited to go antique hunting though. LOL!

I can’t wait to see your pics!

I had the same problem.  Looking back I found things wrong with the day.  1.  there was a table placed out at the ceremony site, I didnt notice they day off, but saw it in picture.  We didnt need it, it was supposed to be there, now it sticks out like a sore thumb to me in all the ceremony pictures. 2.  I forgot to take my veil off all night!!  I was going to take it off after the cermony and just forgot.  3. there were extra favor boxes on the cake table.. I hate how they looked there.  4.  I didnt want the cake topper that was provide and i told them not to put it on, they did anyways.. i hate that topper.  5.  the two symbols on the “front” of the cake on the 2nd and 4th tier were lined up.. it was WAAAAAY off… I hate how it looks, hope the photog didnt get too many pictures of it straight on.  6.  I ended up somehow standing behind my husband during the cake cutting and it just looks rediculous.  I look liek a head popping over his arm.

wow, thats the first time I vented that all out.. I’m afraid people will just tell me I’m crazy!  You’re definitely not alone here.  But I doubt anyone noticed anything was “wrong”… so just dont dwell on these little things
