I came across the Kensington skirt on Instagram and fell in love with it. I think I’m going to try it with a beaded corset of some sort. I have to drive an hour since there’s only one boutique that carries it in Ohio. I would love pictures if someone ends up ordering it!

kminich :  any chance you’ll be selling your skirt post-wedding? I found this thread as I am ALSO looking for a gently used Kensington skirt! 🙂

eatpizza :  I’ll be selling my Kensington skirt and Monarch bodice after my wedding (June 24). I was slightly larger than a size 10 so I ordered a size 12 and it’ll be altered to fit between the 10-12.

LauraR :  tell me more! 🙂  I havent even tried this thing on but I am OBSESSSED and know it’s the one. Like I need to control my urges of driving 2 hours to a salon and just buying it!

Do you mind sharing your height/measurement? I would need it for September so that might work!

eatpizza :   hollyemma :  I would say somewhere around $2,700 for both the bodice and the skirt or $1,500 for just the skirt. But I’m pretty flexible so would be open to people’s thoughts.

I’m 5’7″ (leaning towards wearing flats) and my measurements are around 38″ hips and 28″ waist. I’m hoping to lose a little more. I’m picking up both pieces on Feb 4 and am planning on taking it for alterations not too long after that so would have a better idea of measurements and whether it could be let back out afterwards. Here’s the monarch:

LauraR :  I am also 28/38 (but wouldn’t mind losing a little:)  I’m also a bit shorter so that may work!
