Hello fellow Bees,
After dating my highschool sweetheart for the past 10 years we’re finally ready to say our “I do’s” but before all the partying and celebration we would like to see a little ring on this finger 😉
We’ve been on the hunt for my “perfect” ring. A rose gold micro pave diamond band less than 2.0mm shank/band (ideally more around 1.5) with an emerald cut diamond no larger than 0.5 carat.
The jewlers I’ve spoke to said they don’t offer bands under 2mm. I understand why they choose not too but I’ve seen other ladies with thin engagement bands on this and other forums. We dont have much money and still putting ourselves through grad school so I have a budget of around $1,500. Is there anyone who knows where this could be done? I’ve serched through both high (even though I knew we couldnt afford, I just had to check) and low jewelers, I’ve scoured through Etsy, and I’ve looked at loose diamonds I could mix and match with other jewelers setting. Ideally I don’t want to compromise the specific design of my ring but I think I would be okay with a gold band if the rose gold is unobtainable.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance 🙂

I know my band is under 2mm not sure the exact size it’s a pave setting, but in a channel setting (shared prongs) more secure

I can tell you my experience with 1.5mm eternity bands: the diamonds fall out easily! anything with micro pave diamonds is more likely to lose pieces, and it’s frustrating as Hell. If you want a super thin eternity band I recommend getting a CZ one, Berricle has a few I think.

I disagree with @yupmarried. Mine is from blue Nile and it is either 1.5 mm or 1.7, can’t remember, but less than 2. I’ve had it for three years and it holds up well.

My e-ring band is 1.5mm, and not only have I NOT lost any diamonds over the last 18 or so months, but I’ve even gotten my finger smashed in a door (like, thank goodness my ring was there or my finger would have been smashed to pieces) and the ring was misshapen and I STILL didn’t lose any diamonds. I really can’t understand why jewelers do not want to make bands that are ~1.5mm, my jeweler did not give us a hard time at all.

Check out Adiamor.com. I had my ring custom made there and love it! It’s a great quality piece and their prices were the best I found. I got a .62 emerald cut halo with a pretty thin band.

Mine is 1.5’m in rose gold! I had it custom but check RosarioBox on etsy they have very thin setting and beautiful styles! They will sell settings alone.

Is your total budget $1500 or is this just for the setting? Anyways, I’d just like to recommend a jeweler to have a custom ring made. Studio1040designs.com or studio1040 on etsy was absolutely amazing when creating my ring. You just tell them your budget and what your wanting and she will make it happen! As for loose diamonds, I recommend Exceldiamonds.com, and brilliance.com both companies have great diamond prices.
