So my ceremony location just fell through 🙁
Anyone have any suggestions on where to have a ceremony in or around Denver? The reception is going to be at our home but I wanted someplace separate for the ceremony with about 100 ppl. Someplace non denominational and we hadn’t really wanted a park or setting where we need to rent chairs and stuff.

@Gribberama: Mile High Stadium, and the Pepsi Centre. Those are the only places whose names I know in Denver. Oh and the aiport – that’s the part of Denver I have been to.
I do not have a real suggestion. My intention was to make you laugh. If I have failed, please move on to the help, below, from more useful people.
Y’all have a good day now.

@Gribberama: I’m a Denver bride! Going to look at my list of favorites to see which would work for ceremony only. Were you thinking outdoors or indoors? What style/look do you like?

thanks! Has it been difficult to plan from Cali?
i really don’t have a preference indoor or outdoor. I’ve checked A few chapels and restaurants but it hasn’t worked think we would like it fairly casual But not too casual 🙂 I just didn’t twang to have to coordinate a lot with ceremony since we aare doing everything for the reception too.

@Gribberama: It’s not been too difficult, luckily my mom and sister have been very involved so that’s been so helpful!
Where were you originally having it?

@allyouneedislove: it was going to be in a bookstore. Sigh. We were so psyched.

@Gribberama: Okay… I have to know what bookstore. Please tell.
As for venues…what about The Chapel at Red Rocks? There are also a lot of mansions in Capitol Hill that host events. I attended a wedding at the Botantic Gardens… it was beautiful! The Manor House at Ken Caryl is gorgeous.

@Gribberama: Are you open to any areas just outside of Denver, or are you wanting to keep it close to home?

@Gribberama: How about the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion downtown? It holds up to 200 and is beautiful. It has a nice outside terrace and a grand ballroom downstairs. I believe they have all the tables, etc. there for you as well.

I second Red Rocks! What a beautiful ceremony location.

-Wash Park Studio
-The Wellshire Inn

Thanks everyone! I’m waiting to hear back from a few places. Some I know already wont do just a ceremony especially on a Saturday night.

@MzStacie .. I got married in Wash Park for like $200 and had my reception at Wash Park Studios. Both were affordable and nice, but you would have to rent chairs and stuff.
I believe Hudson Gardens and Botantic Gardens include chair rentals if you rent there. Louvier Village Clubhouse also includes chairs (they’re located by C470 and Santa Fe).
What part of town is your home in? I imagine you want the reception close to your ceremony

also .. the W Studio near 6th & SantaFe does hourly rental AND includes chair rentals. They’re fairly new but their space is cool. I believe it’s $200/hr.

@nancyo: Thanks and congrats on your recent nuptuals!! The clubhouse looks very cool it is just a bit too far. I am right near Hampden and Monaco. The W place looks very cool I am calling them first thing tomorrow. Thanks! We are going to see another *bookstore type place* on saturday and meet with the owner, she sounds to be more open to us having it there and will commit for sure if it works. I also am waiting for them to “open up” the wash park boathouse for booking, they won’t make any bookings for 2014 until November 1 which seems a bit weird but whatever. I would love to have our ceremony in Wash Park as well, I used to live right by there.
I have tried most of the places listed above.. either they are booked or won’t do just 2 hours on a saturday evening, or would change for having a 4-6 hour timeframe anyway. Rightfully so, they want to book as much time as possible.
Red Rocks.. Grrr I had always thought of having it there even though it’s far, and was excited when I called them to see if they still have the 21st of June.. booked an appointment to see it, and we get there and they were like “oh, sorry, we don’t have that date available after all.” We were beyond annoyed at them.
