Nienna:  Have you considered using a student?

Vancouver Community College has a Wedding and Event Management Certificate program which is 1-2 years long. Perhaps a senior student would be looking for extra income, or might need a project for school?

Other such courses are offered at the Art Institute and BCIT.

I’m keeping an eye on this thread – I’m also hoping for someone for ‘day of’. Right now I’ve appointed one of my friends who I know is a ‘get’er’done’ kind of girl.

I don’t know if you’re still looking and this thread is a bit old, but I would recommend Tanya at Milestone Events. I initially contacted her about DOC, ended up hiring her just for decor and floral, but she’s super fun and very easy to get along with.
