I would search the WeddingBee vendor list, that’s how we found ours:

These are the venues I would recommend for a caribbean feel:

  1. Fontainebleau Resort, Miami Beach – expensive
  2. Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa – far away
  3.  Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort – very nice
  4.  Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
  5.  Briza on the Bay – recommended
  6. The Westin Beach Resort Fort Lauderdale – highly recommended
  7. DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort & Spa – affordable

I would recommend the Harbor Beach Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale. It’s beautiful, right on the ocean and they offer a Caribbean menu.

@BrideAtSea:  The Harbor Beach Marriott is nutso expensive. I thought my venue was a lot, but that Marriot put me to shame.

You might have luck at the Sherton Yankee Clipper, especially if you wedding wont be at a peak time. Even if they don’t offer a Caribbean menu, they could easily design one for you.

My venue, the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, has a Caribbean menu, but it is the exact opposite of “something i can rent only that’s not costing an arm.”

I’m trying to remember the hotel we looked at in Hollywood Beach that was awesome. They had an outdoor tent by the intercoastal and a beuaitful area by the pool for weddings. We had to opt against because we really wanted to be on the sand, but it was lovely. Bahia Mar also had decent pricing for the area.

I’m doing it in coral gables congregational church $2,000 and Sinai gardens in Miami $3,000 my dad is a photographer so he’s sort of hooking me up for the reception there since he has a contract with them. I wanted the Spanish monastery but it’s really pricey and you need your nw vendors

Longan’s Place (http://www.longansplace.com) in miami is awesome, affordable and beautiful. You can rent it just as a venue or with their packages to include food. It even has a tiki hut on property for more of that tropical feel. πŸ™‚

Sounds crazy…but look at inverrary country club. Pricing is low and they will do a carribean menu…don’t know exactly which kind of carribean you are referring to though πŸ˜‰
