Maybe a bracelet and hanging earrings? Here is an idea
We are dress twins! I am looking at these for mine
Thanks for the responses! I love both ideas. KArmiento do you have a picture of you in your dress? Are you getting the Diana belt? I too looked at the earrings you linked and I love them! I just have to wait for the dress to get here so I can see for sure:) How about your veil? If you have anymore suggestions that would be great!
I am getting a different belt that the girl from the store picked out. I wanted a little more bling bling. I did not like the Diana belt on me. It looks nice on everyone I have seen but it was so too big for me. I will send you a message with the picture. I am doing a plain cathedral veil. I am still looking for shoes. I do not want something higher than 3 inches but do not want the heel to small either. Let’s keep in touch 🙂
I see what you are saying. I got these shoes
I love them sooo much, but they are 4.25 inches! I am only 5’2” so I am used to wearing heels. I have a feeling these will not last long on my feet:)
I am searching for a very simple veil. I hope to find something mid length if that makes sense! Keep me updated on what you are doing with your dress and accessories. It’s nice to have someone going through similar things, my friends just don’t understand!
thanks dbeland! Looking right now!
@dbeland – Thank you so much for that link! I just found my bridesmaid jewelry!!!
oh oh oh I was waiting for someone to post a vintage dress like yours so I could share this swarvoski set!!! I wanted it for my big day but the dress I chose has too high of a neckline. love love love!
$80 from someone on recycledbride.com
@Petit_Chou: Really?? Awesome, I would love to see if you have picked anything out to go with your dress. i bought some jewelry from Macy’s but it is much sparklier than I imagined so it is going back:) Still undecided if I will do a veil. I got the diana belt to go with so I am skipping the necklace. They are making it into a deeper sweetheart for me for about $60. I am 5’2” and wearing 3 1/2 inch heels, I will not need to have the bottom hemmed at this point! Great choice!!
@jess.knight.1485: I PMed you! I forgot to mention, I am not altering the neckline, but I definitely love love love the sweetheart look so I’m glad you’re going for it!! (And the alteration price doesn’t seem too steep for that at all.) When I first bought the dress, I was so happy. When I got home, I called the store because I was worried that it looked so good on me because I was standing on that platform and it made me look taller and the shape of the gown was proportionate. My consultant reassured me that it could be hemmed to keep the proportions and that we could always add a slip to pop the skirt/train out more to increase the mermaid look. The gown looks beautiful on you!
Some jewelry ideas:
Givenchy (maybe too sparkly?): http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/givenchy-earrings-silver-tone-glass-crystal-chandelier-earrings?ID=733417&CategoryID=55287#fn=EARRINGS_STYLE%3DChandelier%26JEWELRY_TYPE%3DEarrings%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D117
Not sure if you have a gold or silver preference, but these only drop 1 inch, so they would sparkle but wouldn’t be huge: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/michael-kors-earrings-gold-tone-concave-glass-pave-drop-earrings?ID=755610&CategoryID=55287&LinkType=#fn=EARRINGS_STYLE%3DDrop%26JEWELRY_TYPE%3DEarrings%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D1393
The shape of these are really pretty, not sure how big they would be: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/swarovski-earrings-megan-pierced-earrings?ID=596784&CategoryID=55287&LinkType=#fn=EARRINGS_STYLE%3DDrop%26JEWELRY_TYPE%3DEarrings%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D1393
