@Petit_Chou: Thanks for the ideas. I ended up going to Macys again today. I did not purchase anything. I wish I could have the dress with me to choose. I also lied, my heels are 4.25 inches…yikes!! That is probably why I don’t need a hem:) I am also doing to crinoline(sp) at the bottom to increase the mermaid drama. Also when you bustle your dress it makes it HUGE, so don’t forget that when trying to make it more poofy! My dress is in, I try it on again in March!! I also called Vera’s back the day after I purchased my dress because I was afraid of purchasing ivory vs white. Silly I know.

I am a Dakota bride as well and I must say ACCESSORIES are the key to making you go from looking beautiful to absolutely gorgeous! Go to Nordstrom – they have a ton of bridal jewelry.
I say go for earrings, a nice necklace and stack those bracelets — all diamonds. This is your day to shine – you don’t accessorize like this on a daily basis, but c’mon, it’s a special occassion. It’s time to go over the top a bit!
Best of luck!

I actually went the opposite direction and went simple. I had a pair of purple and silver Givenchy earrings from Nordy’s that were blingy and no necklace or bracelet…just enough color pop.

@Happiestbridetobe: I ordered Ivory. I think the ivory looked much better with the lace just my opinion!
Unfortunately weddingbee is not allowing me to upload my photos. But there are many online. Good luck, hope your wedding is amazing!

I will be wearing an alfred sung belt with my Dakota. It ties in a bow at the back, is ivory satin and has crystals/diamante on the front – its lovey!
