@Soon2BeBee:  So you are looking for something in the past-present-future theme that would actually ask them to be in your bridal party?  Or is this just a gift thanking them for saying yes?

@Soon2BeBee:  ….this is kind of weird, but hear me out…

The first thing that popped into my mind when you said your theme was Back to the Future…cause they go back in the past, return to the present and head into the future…what if you made a groovy Flux Capacitor with like….a shoe box, some glow sticks and a little imagination?

Hmmm, this is tough because you don’t necc. already have a past/present/future with each, it’s more like an overall theme for the Bridesmaid or Best Man as a whole rather than the individuals so I think that narrows the field a bit.  Do you want identical gifts for all?

What about mailing a pretty card and present. That is what my youngest is doing. She bought them Plum Pretty Sugar Robes and the cards they offer  “Will you be my bridesmaid?”. It looked so nice when she wrapped them up. Then you can wear them on the day for photos and possibly give them the necklace on the day of.

@Soon2BeBee: Here’s what I did. My bridesmaids are spread out all over in different states. I didn’t just want to ask them point-blank but couldn’t decide on a gift either. I knew our colors were going to be some sort of blue, so I just found free wedding graphics and searched for different poems and put the two together! On the left is what I did for Maid/Matron of Honor, and the one on the right is for my bridesmaids. You can make it more personal with why you want each special lady by your side.  For a past/present/future theme, for each bridesmaid you can talk about the experiences you two have had so far, where you are now and why you want them by your side, and what experiences you hope to have together in the future (different trips, life milestones etc). I mailed my handmade “postcards” in envelopes out and all the girls were ecstatic to be a part of our big day that they weren’t worried about gifts. Don’t overthink it, as I’m sure your bridesmaids will just be happy they get to stand beside you on the happiest day of your life!
