I used fiftyflowers.com and Costco.  I don’t know about BJs, but Sam’s Club is owned by Walmart unfortunately.  I made my bouquets the night before and kept the stems long, stored them at room temp in water, then cut the stems 3 inches before my pictures/ceremony to keep them from dripping.

The flowers were actually one of the easiest DIYs I did (my DIY list is pretty extensive).  In fact, I was able to bake two desserts for my welcome dinner the same night I made the bouquets, as well as an entire sweet n salty buffet that same week.  Just make sure you prep your flowers when you get them (remove leaves, thorns, cut stems, etc).

We ordered hydrangeas from sams club for our centerpieces and they were perfect! They specified to deliver 2 days before your event so we had them come on Thursday morning for our Saturday wedding. It was a lot of work having to keep trimming and watering them but it was SO worth it! This was definitely our most cost saving DIY!

Please be sure you have a vision in mind for how you want your flowers to look. My FI’s sister ordered flowers from Costco and it was a nightmare. She had no idea what she wanted so we spent hours trying to come up with something that looked halfway decent with the random assortment of flowers she bought. We stored them in buckets inside the apartment. We ended up having to redo several of the arrangements the day of because the flowers were wilted. It was extremely stressful for myself, FI’s mom, and the few bridesmaids who actually helped us. To give you an idea, she did not have a bridal bouquet until about 45 minutes before the ceremony! I’ve seen DIY flowers turn out very good, but I’ve experienced it going very bad. Just make sure you are super organized the day before and have a bunch of people willing to help!
