I am currently working with Anne, she is super nice, does great work and is very reasonably priced!

I used Louise Austrie, and she was very good! I admit that she’s a little curt and can come off rude, but I actually really appreciated that she wasn’t gushy and was very matter of fact. It was also extremely easy to get a hold of her, which I think is a HUGE plus.

Initially I was going to go with Anne, but I found out that she owns a cat whom she lets roam around, and I’m really allergic to cats, so I had to find an alternative. I also found that it was very hard to get a hold of Anne and arrange an appointment because she doesn’t seem to do phones and I’d have to wait a few days to get a response email from her. But I hear she does fabulous work!

Hey girls, what is the price range for hemming, bustle, and taken in slightly? I have a bubble hem and my boutique quoted $400. Is that resasonable? I am wondering if Anne would be good. I will need to drive to East bay which is not my favorite.

I am having Anne take up my dress about 1/2″, take in the chest slightly, add American bustle and modify the neckline very slightly and she is charging me $250. Anne is great!
