I would check craigslist and get whatever potted trees I could find, and spray paint them in fall colors.

On our craigslist you can often find silk plants free when people are moving at the end of the month.

Otherwise, I would get some tree limbs, pot them up with plaster of paris in a container of your choice, and hot glue silk leaves onto the branches.


If you wanted something with a more modern edge you could get birch limbs, stand them upright in a bucket ( you don’t need the huge vase) and leave them without leaves or place an arrangement of fall leaves on top.
