The vielle brasserie is also a very nice intimate venue in Lasalle that you can rent from the city. It was formally the Dawes brewery and sits overlookingt he Lachine Canal. It is rather nice setting. Youc an look up photos of people having their ceremony set up on site as well
I always thought this venue was rather nice for small weddings. The ceremony space is very pretty. Although it is a bit outside Montreal
There is also a very good historic restaurant in Boisbriand with it’s own reception facilities for small weddings. They’re a great staff there and the food is to die for
The Auberge Saint Gabriel also has some very beautiful rooms. Some fairly intimate
I always found this to be a nice venue for intimate weddings as well
I know I tend to like historic venues, sorry if this isn’t your cup of tea (I’m a historian by profession)
A non-historic building which hosts beautiful small weddings is restaurant Beatrice.
or Auberge de Gallant in Saint Marthe Sur le Lac has a more rustic feel
or for a vinyard weddingthe Chateau Taillefer Lafon is beautiful and will allow a cermony onsite. In the Fall the forest surrounding this vinyard are really a burst of color.
Hope this helps! I tried not to go outside a 30 min drive from downtown Montreal. Good luck!
