What’s your idea of “inexpensive”?  $50 a head at 80 people is $4000.  Is that expensive to you?

@MissNerdy:  Here is one place that I considered but got veto’d by the other half, The Lodge in Tolland, CT.  It’s a building for rent in a park if you don’t mind the rustic aspect.

My advice to you is a church hall if your planning on getting married in a church ask if they will allow you to hold reception there most of the time its free you will to need provide your own food and decorations which you do yourself they may even have tables you can use which will save you money 🙂 rent some linens and chair covers and some flowers and presto you have nice lil reception space you can take pictures on the grounds most churches have nice grassy spots for pictures and churches make a lovely backdrop for photographs good luck and congrats 🙂

If you will are interested I can tell you the name of my venue, can accomodate up to 250 people, and it’s about 1500 to rent the hall for the whole night, comes with full kitchen, table, chairs, very very nice inside .
