I did mine in Central Park (overdone, I know but that was one of our first dates) and I wore casual clothes bc it was FREEZING and it had snowed!

My friend did hers just walking around lower Manhattan (maybe Little Italy area) and she wore Loubs and a skater style dress and he wore slacks and a button-up. They had a bunch of cute pics sitting at outside cafes and in the middle of cobblestone streets.

My photographer shot a couple at South Street Seaport and on the Brooklyn Bridge and I thought both were amazing.

I’ve seen couples change clothes also (ie casual clothes then change into a dress or slacks)

@Diamondgurl:  where in Central Park are you going to?

We took pictures in Bethesda Terrace, at Bow Bridge, Belvedere Castle, and some other random spots along the way.

We did our engagment shoot at Central Park as well. I realize it’s a super popular choice, if not overly done but I wanted to do it there for 2 very specific reasons. 1) I wanted a fall photo shoot and the colors of the foliage in the park are GORGEOUS!!!! and 2)….Too Much Information ALERT…My mom informed me years ago that I was ::ahem:: concieved there….so I kind of have a very special connection to that place.

My advice, chose a place in NYC that is close to you and your FI’s heart. I look at my photos and I get all warm and fuzzy…and I also remember that my parents are a little cray cray…but then I wouldve never been if it werent for that ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA: I wore a tan, brown, and blue sweater dress and Fiance wore jeans and a light blue sweater. Our outfits complimented the colors of the surrounding areas.
