We used PocketBooth (https://appsto.re/us/YNn9w.i) because it was cheap and it gave us the photostrip look we were going for. I think it worked out and people had fun!

I just went through the pics later and sent them via email. In theory, from the iPad they could email or text themselves the photos, but it’s not as “simple” as an app.

I downloaded Simple Booth  and it has options to send the picture to facebook, text or email. You can also select the different frames that you want (4 strips vs 3 strips) etc. I think you can also print picture using this app but of course, you will need the printer.

idea 1: just leave the ipad unlocked and use the tools already there.  they can shoot and email / txt / upload to facebook from the regular camera app.  also maybe get a remote like BeachBee1988 suggested. you could create a temporary facebook and email account for guests to use (and be sure to delete all other passwords so they can’t get into your regular email and stuff).  note that leaving your ipad on a tripod all night leaves it vulnerable to it getting knocked over, esp if there are going to be drunk people and/or kids.

idea 2: just put a regular camera on a tripod and upload all photos to flickr after the wedding.  the photos will turn out better anyway.

idea 3: get a selfie stick for people to use with their own phones. I recently went to a wedding that did this and it was a big hit!

we used the EventCha app for our wedding – it was free and everyone shared their pics super easy
