    I have ring #3.

it would not look right with 6 prongs. The basket is specifically shaped.

here is mine with a .88 g/vs2 center.

MomOf3Bee:  Is your center a round? I LOVE #3 but only because the center looks very round from the side. I notice it’s a 4 prong and from afar, the stone make look more like a cushion face up. I’ve seen similar stunning styles made by high-end jewelers and the centers are huge (like 2.5-3 ct rounds) and it obviously looks round from afar since the sides of the round stick out past the prongs which looks stunning with the graduated rounds on the side. With the 1carat, it may well look like a cushion set with graduated stones. Just something to think about

MomOf3Bee:  I voted Solitaire because I am partial to them since that’s whats on my finger! I also really like #2 but i would be curious to see a top view picture of it. From the side, i think it’s lovely but i can imagine that from top view, the side diamonds take away from the center stone too much.

MomOf3Bee:  my ring size is 5.5. The stone is almost exactly 6mm.

I should have otger pictures somewhere. I will look when I get home.

I voted solitaire because it puts all the focus on the main stone. Then second choice is #3 because I think #2 might look a bit busy with the little clusters of diamonds on the sides. It could make the center stone look smaller or not the star of the show.

My solitaire is also very similar to #1 – 6 prong, claw prongs – and I love it!

I voted for the solitaire, it’s gorgeous. I like the graduated side stones ring also, but I think the solitaire will make your diamond stand out beautifully!
