My mom is making my veil for me but I’m looking for some nice lace to edge it out. JoAnn Fabrics and all those commercial stores only carry really cheap looking stuff. Anyone know where I could get some beautiful quality lace? Help!

Have you tried going to a bridal store? Sometimes they have scraps laying around that you could purchase. good luck!

Is there a garment district in your area? I live in San Diego and tried all the fabric stores near me and drove all over. I had to Los Angeles and went to the Garment District where I was so happy to find tons of options and lace. Here is a picture of the veil I made.
Good luck. [attachment=732063,94509]

You need to try a specialty fabric store – like you said, the chain stores like JoAnn’s just doesn’t carry the good quality laces. There’s a few online stores you can try. See if you can order samples.

Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? I found some pretty neat lace and beadery stuff at the one in my city, and my mom and I are planning to use some of it to make my veil too. Hopefully they have what you’re looking for.
