I am having the WORST time finding a picture of just what I want for my hair. When I started growing out may hair a year and a half ago I was picturing my hair being a lot longer than it now is (currently it is 2-3 inches below my shoulders) I wanted to wear my hair down with soft curls in it. Most pictures I find are of really long hair or dont look formal enough. Anyone have pics of themselves or found any online that they could post to help me? We are having a formal wedding so I dont want beachy waves and I had thought about 1940’s type hairstyles because I think they are beautiful but in the end that just isnt my style. I am shooting for something that looks glamorous and elegant. Any help would be so greatly appreciated! Thanks bees!

Really cute hairstyle but not what I was looking for….I want something longer, curled and more formal. I am totally going to add that picture to my “post wedding chop” ideas though! thanks!

If you want it down with soft curls in it, there’s only so formal you can be, unless you wear a really glitzy accessory.
I like JanJo’s style here:

I went for a kinda “modern” so to speak 1940s look. I wanted the classic front swoop, but it looks weird on my face, so I layed my hair across my forehead and had the classic finger curls. My hair is just a little below my shoulders too.

Any of these strike your fancy?

I curled my hair in medium tight curls, and then pulled it into a low side pony. I have longs bang which I left wavy, and also left a few wispy tendrils near my ears. Then I had a comb with freshwater pearls in my hair, and a veil. It looked very pretty (to me), but its also not just leaving the hair down, so… 🙂

My hair is shoulder length, and this is what it looked like curled half up half down.
