@Peffy:  People and their big mouths. Best get used to it, unfortunately, because once you DO get the bfp, then everyone thinks it’s their business to give you advice, or tell you how to do things, or talk about their experiences like they will be the same as yours.. your body becomes public domain and so do all of your choices. It’s annoying as hell.

Totally worth it though.

(I ttc’d for 2 years with my ex, and then was NTNP for a year and a half before this bfp, so I understand ttc struggles and all that, I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.)

@Peffy:  Everyone gets pregnant in their own way.. For me, after years of long irregular cycles and PCOS wreaking havoc on the very few times I ovulated on my own, I started eating Paleo and was exercising and cycles went normal and BAM, preggo.

@Peffy:  I totally know what you mean. It’s why I pretty much just stay quiet on the subject of TTC with family and friends. My DH has started telling people that we’re trying. I keep reminding him that it’s better to just not say anything because we don’t want the added pressure of people asking if we’re pregnant yet or asking if something is wrong when they don’t get a “we’re pregnant” announcement in the next three months. Why go there, ya know? But not talking about it can feel pretty lonely too.

@Peffy:  I’m on cycle 10, but have been TTC for a year (mmc cycle 8). I read your other thread and I really hope you find a new doctor quickly. A good doctor is so important during this stressful time. I went to my OBGYN yesterday too and was so happy that she was on my side (im so sick of people IRL telling me to relax and I’m not trying that long!). I don’t know what an RE is but I’m guessing they’re more qualified than an ob?

Anyway, I’ve just got AMH and progesterone checked. My TSH is slightly high so upping meds. I’ve started taking aspirin. I’m getting an ultrasound and hsg cd 5 of my next cycle if im not pregnant (I’m not feeling it this month!).

@Peffy:  Uggh, hopefully you can get in there quickly. That wait is a horrible one, when you know you need a little extra help. I know I want it all done right now so we can move on to the next steps if needs be. It might be no harm getting the HSG done so you know fully what you’re dealing with.

Ah, I think theyve REs in the fertility clinics. I’m dealing with my Ob in a maternity hospital (yep, everyone else there is pregnant!) because she was my doc for the mc. I’m sure I’ll have to move on if further steps need to be taken.

Im with you on the feelings. My friend was telling me yesterday about how she’s going to use opks to up her chances and her hubby was telling her there’s no need, they’ll have no problems as they didnt last time. Im thinking I really don’t need to hear this when I’ve been using opks, CBFM and bbt for close on a year now!!

Hey Bees

Well, I just finished my 6th cycle of TTC and we’ve had not even a faintest of faintest lines. This most recent appearance of AF was particularly upsetting as we had super good timing. That is our biggest struggle as my DH works out of town 6 on, 6 off, but does a lot of overtime so we can’t keep a ‘regular’ schedule.

We’re both healthy, not overweight (but could stand to lose about 5-10 each) and my cycles are like clockwork. The only thing I notice is each ovary has a different schedule. One month is about 26 days, then the next is usually 29. But that really shouldn’t make a difference.

ANyways, I’m looking forward to joining this thread and getting my thoughts and frustrations out, and supporting others (and vice versa ๐Ÿ™‚ Let’s go get those BFPs!

So, it’s been six months since I went off birth control, and I haven’t ovulated once.  What frustrates me is people assume we’re not pregnant because it’s just not working out.  So then I have to tell people that we’re not even “trying” at this point, unless it’s “trying” to ovulate.  Very frustrating.  I feel like I’m trying to embark on a long journey, but can’t even get out of my city. No more advice from people that I just need to “wait, it’ll happen.” Because, without ovulation, CLEARLY IT WILL NOT. *end rant*

(don’t worry, I’m about to go on Clomid).
