I’m not a date twin but I’m a month twin πŸ™‚

I’ve got reception venue and church booked, took our marriage prep course, dress purchased and should be in soon!!!!!!!! Bridemaid dressed picked just waiting to see if one will be pregnant before we order the sizes πŸ™‚ florist booked, food is done through venue, but tasting coming up in a couple weeks. Photographer booked, centerpieces picked and vases rented, favors decided – boxes, etc purchased, but not made. Shoes, veil, jewlery bought… I feel like I have lots done, BUT I really need to book a DJ and then next step get some day of transportation. DJ I want to have booked by next week, or I’ll cry, lol.

@LjchrIstian:  Hi date twin!!! I’ve been engaged for about 16 months now, so it’s definitely feeling like it’s getting CLOSE! We have most of our big stuff (sites, catering, cake, ceremony musician, band, photographer, officiant, florist, etc.) taken care of because we purchased a package at our venue. I ordered my dress about a year ago and it’s in and just waiting for alterations. All of my girls ordered their bridesmaids dresses and they should be coming in in June. Our guest list is FINALLY complete and we mailed out our last few straggler save the dates in April. Lately we’ve been focusing on planning our ceremony, researching options for our honeymoon, and building up our registries πŸ™‚ We had our engagement pictures taken this past weekend and I can’t wait to see how they turn out! We’re also planning a trip to our venue this summer (since it’s semi-destination) to have our tastings, meet with the florist, photographer, and band, and investigate hair/make-up options.

How’s your planning going?

I’m a month twin!!!!!  We getting married on a Wednesday (we’re non-traditional in a bunch of other ways as well!) because we LOVED the date 12.12.12 at 12pm πŸ™‚

I have been engaged about 6 weeks.  We have put down the deposit on our venue and begun looking at caterers.  We don’t have to narrow all that down (food, cake, flowers, officiant) until September because our wedding has some “inclusive/destination” components and they are having a vendor showcase in Sept where you talk to the vendors and you book them right then.

We got engagement pics taken last weekend and I am in the process of posting and updating my wed-site!  Also I bought my dress!!!!!  Any my daughter is our only attendant, and we have her dress as well!  We are trying to decide if we want to send out STD’s.  Our wedding is pretty small, so we may not.  But we are looking at invitation designs to see if we want to DIY.

We are writing our own vows and so we are in the process of looking at the ceremony, program, music etc.

I vascilate between feeling like I have tons of time and feeling like I am way far behind!

I’m a month twin, have the venue booked, celebrant paid for and booked, bouquets being made slowly (brooch and button DIY), invites made (DIY), dress being made… should be in by and of July, bridesmaids dresses picked… but have to wait to order as one is on a diet.

I feel like i’ve got lots left to do though.

Twins! We’re eloping so we have saved hours of time, stress and money but so far the venue, mini moon and the dress is all sorted. I guess there is hair, flowers, make up and a little cake left. Also his suit and I’ll be choosing my wedding ring next week. I keep thinking I have more time than I actually do!
