@kathleenmccown02:  If you’re willing to drive 30 min, Hoboken is really pretty and you’ll get views of NYC by the river.  A 40 minute drive will get you to Rat’s Restaurant in Hamilton, NJ where there is a really cool sculpture garden.  There’s also Rutgers main campus.

@kathleenmccown02:  I’m not sure how far Edison is from New Brunswick, but we were looking at a venue there and found the BEST spot for pictures, and I am still sad that we won’t be able to do our photos there.  It’s called East Jersey Olde Town Village.  http://co.middlesex.nj.us/culturalheritage/village.asp

The pictures on their website don’t do it justice, but there are some really, really neat old buildings, an old barn, and it just looks so quaint and interesting.  Check it out one day, even if you don’t wind up doing your pictures there, it’s still a fun spot to check out.  During their actual hours, you can even go inside some of the buildings.

@kathleenmccown02:  I would consult with your photographer to see if they have any suggestions. If it’s an area they’ve shot in they might have a few hidden or favorite spots. You’d be a surprised what a photographer can work with.
