Hi everyone 🙂 I have just joined the site after lurking for a few days now and would love some input on wedding bands that would compliment a 6 prong round solitaire ring (1.5ct and in 14k white gold).
I don’t personally like wedding bands with diamonds as I’m looking for something very simple like a 14k 2mm band:
A part of me loves the simplicity of the rings together as it puts the focus on the e-ring itself which I want but another part of me feels like it is a bit too simple ?
I’m torn between going with a really simple band like above or something similar to this:
Would love any thoughts and photos of that type of e-ring with simple bands. I’m struggling to find pictures of solitaire e-rings of that sort with simple bands. Thank you 🙂

How about an engraved or carved band?

I LOVE simple wedding bands. I went with a platinum band with a little milgrain which I felt gave it just enough detail.
The great thing about your beautiful engagement ring is most anything would pair well with it.
ETA: For reference, my ering is 2mm at its widest and tapers to 1.5mm by the diamond. My wedding band is 2.5mm.

The best thing about solitaires is that they go with just about anything! I have a few bands that I alternate, but usually go with a 5 stone wedding band.
My other fave is this bead and eye one

Here’s mine. I think it’s a perfect blend of simple with a little extra something. I’ve also seen bands with some filigree on them and those are really pretty too…

j9marie : Your set is stunning 🙂
lilsweetie : Wow I especially love the 5 stone.
greeneyedbee : Your band goes so well with your e-ring – is that 2mm?

lilsweetie : What are your engagement ring specs and finger size? It’s stunning!

I loved the rope/twisted band that was shown! Buy for another idea I am currently wearing a band with a pattern on it as a stand in.

I love a simple band! It really lets the diamond do all the shining. My preference would be the first one you posted. I went with a knife edge which I love but I do find it photographs differently than it looks in real life! Either way you’re in for a beautiful ring!

Here’s an option for you. Knife edge engraved. ☺️

I think the classic elegance of your solitaire deserves the classic elegance of plain wedding ring ( I dont care for stones on a wedding ring either) . And don’t like a wedding ring to look like its purpose is merely to acommodate an engagement ring , I want it to stand alone , a perfect circle, symbolic of eternity .
So, a milgrain edge, maybe or a knife edge like your engagemnt ring , or a dome which is nice and substantial,

This is my ring. I absolutely adore it. I think the twisty band makes it look really delicate. So I’m thinking about having a really simple band too. Just struggling to decide if I want braided to kinda match or straight. :/ but maybe for your wedding band you could do something twisty.

sgbc : Thank you! Your e-ring is stunning!
missconvy : I’ve not thought about that – thank you for the idea!
elderbee : I do love those options, so classy and elegant.
catash : Absolutely love your ring, the twist design is gorgeous <3
