My fiance and I live in AZ but we have always been in LOVE with the beach. Therefore we want a small beach ceremony in our favorite state, CA! Now I’m talking bare feet in the sand on the beach ceremony. There will be about 30 people total who will be invited. We are not really big on receptions (especially with such a small guest list) so we are hoping to have a simple dinner reception for our guests at a nice restaurant instead.
We have been having a hard time finding ceremony sites for a decent price on the sand, anybody know of any places?? Also, possible dinner options would be nice too.

I think if you look into it, you can usually get a permit for a certain spot on the beach. I had some friends who did it right near the Hotel Del Coronado. It was very small and on the beach. They didn’t spend a lot, either!

Have you thought about Mexico? Rosarito is only 30 min south of the border, you can get married right on the beach, no permits required.
Here are some photos from my wedding in 2008.
…and it’s a fraction of the price compared to San Diego.

The Wedding Bowl in La Jolla! Or, Powerhouse Beach in Del Mar. You can also get married in Torrey Pines State Park (on the beach) for $500 I beleive.
